I had a fun half an hour figuring out why I can't bootstrap an initial fastboot connection with the serial loader. Turned out, my fastboot2.img file was missing few trailing kilobytes (I downloaded stuff with wget -r). So, it would be nice if there were MD5SUMS files to quickly check download integrity. I actually went ahead and added them for https://builds.96boards.org/releases/hikey and https://builds.96boards.org/releases/hikey/debian/15.02 , would be nice if they were available for future updates too.
