Hi folks, For fun I've done a minimal U-Boot port for the HiKey board, I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else is interested. This work is based on top of Linus Walleij Juno port. The code can be found here: - ssh://git@git.linaro.org:/people/peter.griffin/u-boot Currently the port supports: - 1) Serial 2) eMMC (although only basic read testing) 3) USB (ASIX usb networking works, no mass storage) 4) GPIO So you have ATF -> u-boot -> kernel / your_own_rtos The main "useful" thing I suppose is the ability to quickly tftp kernels etc into DDR over the network. Obviously the ability to toggle the LEDs in u-boot is also something to amuse yourself with. Pre-built binaries can be found here: - http://people.linaro.org/~peter.griffin/hikey/hikey-u-boot-release_r1/ NB: These are built with the latest PSCI enabled ATF, so you also need to use the corresponding PSCI enabled kernel to get all 8 cores. Any patches please send them along to me, one obvious missing feature is sdhci support. That doesn't look very hard to get going, as long as we can get the IP clocked and out of reset (and would be significantly easier if the published datasheet documented the registers...). About xf86-video-armsoc integration

Hello, Recently, i am working on enabling mali 450 gpu at debian xorg X windows for hikey board which is one of 96boards <https://www.96boards.org/>. I first implement xf86-video-armsoc(ver1.1.0) video driver, compile and cp armsoc_drv.so to directory "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers". And then compile arm mali r5p0 DDK and cp egl and gles libs(libEGL.so libEGL.so.1 libEGL.so.1.4 libGLESv1_CM.so libGLESv1_CM.so.1 libGLESv1_CM.so.1.1 libGLESv2.so libGLESv2.so.2 libGLESv2.so.2.0 libMali.so) to directory "/usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/" or "/usr/lib". my xorg.conf is show as bellow: ----------------------------xorg.conf start-------------------------- cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section "Device" Identifier "Card0" Driver "armsoc" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Card0" DefaultDepth 24 EndSection ----------------------------xorg.conf end-------------------------- Then i run startx, i can see the desktop on the monitor. UEFI wiki need some love

https://github.com/96boards/documentation/wiki/UEFI Trying to get UEFI booting via this wiki didn't really work well. I had to check with several others to get things actually working. A couple major things I found in the last day or so: 1) it mentions the ptable.img file, but doesn't say where to find it 2) It mentions starting fastboot from UEFI, which requires your boot-uefi.img have a fastboot application on it. However, the wiki guides you through creating a boot-uefi.img with a kernel/dtb/initrd but no fastboot.efi, so trying to start fastboot from the shell doesn't work. Kevin

UEFI boot: hangs at UEFI shell

Following the wiki[1], I tried to flash a UEFI setup, but it's hanging as soon as I try to enter the shell[2]. Any ideas what's going on? Also, it seems that wiki may need a refresh. The link to the nvme.img is broken, but I found one from the "latest"dir. Also, according to Tyler/Fathi, it seems should be using the ptable.img from http://builds.96boards.org/snapshots/hikey/binaries/20150505? Anyways, any pointers or wiki updates that would help me actually use EFI would be most helpful. hikey gpu driver need help
