Hi, What is the purpose of publishing the AndroidFastbootApp.efi together with other UEFI binaries? http://builds.96boards.org/snapshots/hikey/linaro/uefi/latest/ The flashing instructions don't mention it in any way. Is there a way to update only the AndroidFastbootApp.efi without changing fip.bin? milosz

HiKey AOSP #184: OpenGLRenderer 'Out of memory' errors and corrupt display

Hi, I am trying AOSP snapshot 184 [1] + UEFI snapshot 75 [2] on my HiKey board, and I'm seeing some corruption on the HDMI display [3]. OpenGLRenderer logs some 'Out of memory' errors. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known issue? (I found nothing in the bug tracker [4]). I have posted the outputs of 'adbg logcat' [5] and 'adbg shell dmesg' [6], taken shortly after a clean boot. FTP support on BT with Linux build

Hi, Is FTP supported on bluetooth using Linux/Debian on HiKey? Chase (CCed) said he was able to transfer files using Android build on HiKey. From what I can see, the only supported profile on Linux is a2dp. milosz

HiKey U-Boot port

Hi folks, For fun I've done a minimal U-Boot port for the HiKey board, I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else is interested. This work is based on top of Linus Walleij Juno port. The code can be found here: - ssh://git@git.linaro.org:/people/peter.griffin/u-boot Currently the port supports: - 1) Serial 2) eMMC (although only basic read testing) 3) USB (ASIX usb networking works, no mass storage) 4) GPIO So you have ATF -> u-boot -> kernel / your_own_rtos The main "useful" thing I suppose is the ability to quickly tftp kernels etc into DDR over the network. Obviously the ability to toggle the LEDs in u-boot is also something to amuse yourself with. Pre-built binaries can be found here: - http://people.linaro.org/~peter.griffin/hikey/hikey-u-boot-release_r1/ NB: These are built with the latest PSCI enabled ATF, so you also need to use the corresponding PSCI enabled kernel to get all 8 cores. Any patches please send them along to me, one obvious missing feature is sdhci support. Since you can't get USBtinyISP to program the board, do you have an arduino board handy that you can run the ArduinoISP sketch on? No /dev/ttyMSM1 on Dragonboard 410c

Hi Folks I'm just trying to kick the tyres of my sensors board. I'm using a dragonboard because that's the board I have "spare" to play with. I've tried to play "dumb" and follow only documented instructions... as a result I have a dragonboard flashed with the latest builds of the boot-and-rootfs from the releases directory. This build does not play nicely with the sensors board because /dev/ttyMSM1 does not exist. As a result I cannot use the UART0 pins on the LS connector to try and talk to the AVR (i.e. this is *not* the known issue that the AVR may have no bootloader). I haven't yet made much of a attempt to debug this (and won't until tomorrow at best). However... has anyone already overcome this problem? Daniel PS Does anyone have a canned command to deliberately corrupt the boot-and-rootfs so I can get the board to jump into fastboot (so I can try a snapshot) without having to take the sensors board of the top so I can press Vol- ;-) ?
